You begin your day with an early morning excursion to the mountain fortress of which you ride upon elephants Visit City Palace & Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds
Drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. A long day yet rewarding. Visit the Red Fort of Akbar, third of the Mughal Emperors. Visit the beautiful white marble Taj Mahal at sunrise; built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631.
Day 05 : To Orchha - by surface / 246 kms / approx. 5 hrs.
Option of visiting Taj Mahal at Sunrise if you may wish. Later drive towards Orchha. If you wish stop to visit Gwalior which also offers the Tomb of Muhammad Ghaus, a saint worshipped by the Mughals & the Tomb of the famous musician Tansen.
Explore Orchha including various temple and Palaces including as Raja Ram temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Shiva Mandir, Panch Mukhi Mahadev Mandir and other cenotaphs “Chhatries" on the bank of river Betwa. Continue to visit Fort Palace of Raj Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, Diwan -I- Khas and Rai Praveen Mahal.
Journey to the Land of Erotic Temples - Khajuraho. Later in the afternoon you may explore the ravishing Khajuraho temples glorified with esthetic elegance.
A day to visit the temples, renowned for their erotic sculpture. The temples here are distinguished into 3 groups, Western, Eastern and Southern.
Proceed to Panna National Park. After leisure you can enjoy the wild life sanctuary here. The region is well known for some of the best wild life species. It is one of the popular Tiger Reserves in the country.
Allahabad, one of the seven sacred cities of Hindus Allahabad is known for the Sacred 'Sangam', literally meaning confluence, this is where three of the holiest rivers in Hindu mythology meet; these are the Ganga, the Yamuna and the mythical underground river of enlightenment, Saraswati.
Day 10/11: To Varanasi - by boat on the Ganges River
Drive to the boat jetty where you will board to sail to Varanasi. During this time we will get an insight into the river side way of life, passing through some of the paddy fields, we will get a chance to visit some river side villages to see how they live and work. We should also see some fishermen and if we are lucky we may also see some dolphins.
Disembark at the jetty in Varanasi will return to the river in the evening for the Pooja ceremony on the ghats.
At dawn a boat ride on the Holy Ganges. Spend time exploring the area. At Ghats hundreds of people gather early in the morning, to pray, meditate, and the ritual bath. Later in the afternoon drive to visit Sarnath, where Buddha preached his first speech in the teaching of the "middle path" to Nirvana.
In time transfer to the Varanasi airport to board your flight back to Delhi.
